The rest of her life…

This is pretty much the view I will have of her for the rest of our time together. Her dirty face stained with laughter, her wild hair flying behind her as she runs off into some new adventure. She is spending more and more time away from me and becoming more headstrong and independent every day. That’s exactly how it’s supposed to be.

There’s that moment every parent goes through when you realize the days of your baby following you are numbered. Soon, you start following her and spend the rest of your life just trying to keep up. You just have to keep in mind that she is not running away from you, she is just rushing out to greet the world.

welll….I hope you are happy….now I am going to cry. but I will have you know she does not run from me by GOODNESS. Even if I have to duct tape her to me! She is so big! I love her and her free spirit.

Jack shared this with me this morning when I came back from taking Mackenzie to school or at least thats what normally happens. She saw some friends of hers walking & mentioned them by name. I asked if she wanted to walk with them & she hollered “YES!! See you later!!” and jumped out of the car. Darn them for growing up so quickly
