Stop, Drop, and Roll

Between vacation schedules, sick leave, and a scary economy, we have had a labor shortage at my day job. I have been asked to help out in the shop. My first day out there, I forgot one of the most fundamental rules of working in a weld shop: Don’t set yourself on fire.
It was a beautiful day. It wasn’t too hot, there was a pleasant breeze, and the radio just KEPT playing my favorite songs. I was feeling pretty good talking with my coworkers and singing while fitting up the steel for welding. Working in the shop once in a while can be quite theraputic (SP). That is until you notice something very warm in an awkward way. Looking down to discover your pants are on fire can be disconcerting, to say the least. There was much taunting and laughter the rest of the day such as “Liar, liar pants on fire.” “Is it hot in here, or is that just me?” And my personal favorite, “Stop, drop, and roll doesn’t work in Hell.”

Hahahaha! You didn’t hurt yourself I hope. That is a great pic. You set your pants on fire! Hahaha. I love you man!
I’m telling you it was easier when you were a baby and I had some control……glad you weren’t hurt. But I really like the last taunting…
