The Hills Are Alive…

If I close my eyes, I can just almost see Julie Andrews running and singing through the countryside. Of course, if she were, she would be sneezing her fool head off. We are entering our drought season and all of the lush greenery of Spring will turn into the golden colors of Summer. My beautiful, young bride says that means everything will turn “dead grass brown.”

The wildflowers are in full bloom right now. They are taking full advantage of the long sunny days, high winds, and drought conditions. The pollen so high right now that it seems like you might be able to see it swirling through the air. It can pose a big problem to those of us with chronic allergies. Girl2′s nose seems permenantly purple with her pale skin and inflamed sinuses. Now is when I wish I owned stock in Benedryl.
